I am so tired today. I didn't start the day tired but then I rode almost 30 miles. Now, I'm really tired and considering taking a nap on the couch even though the shop's open.
I do this to myself a lot. I love riding so much that I use all my energy to ride and then other things I should be doing don't get done. Have you seen my yard this summer? Wild kingdom. My kitchen and bedroom? Getting ready to cut them off and throw them away. I really need to find some balance between how much riding I do and how much time I spend doing other things. I'm just so desperate to make the most of the summer while it lasts. I can always clean in the winter, right?

OMG Lucy. Your blog reminds me of mine..... Mine started out as a blog about my cancer journey -- so people could keep up with what was going on with me without my having to stay up til 2am answering emails......
ReplyDeleteBut it's probably more about biking than cancer.... because I had to bike through treatment (stubborn) and haven't stopped since (except for last Feb when we got a New England sized share of snow..... and had only a VIrginia amount of plows to deal with it!)
The amount you bike sounds like me. And the spending yourself on biking and then not wanting to do anything else.... (OMG you should see the blah dinners we eat here. And the state of the house. And the piddling # of hours I work these days.) If I were a bit closer I'd ride with you!!!! I will have to coordinate with you next time I come -- I do generally bring my mountain bike.
